Setting a Vision for 2023

color of the year emerald realign vision for 2023 word of the year Dec 28, 2022

By Carol Woolum Roberts

On Monday night, I sat alone while everyone went to bed and started thinking about 2023.

I wanted a color and a word for the new year.

I knew the kind of word I wanted but hadn’t quite found the correct word yet.

At my recent yearly physical, I have a health complication I want to address in the new year and make some changes to hopefully improve my situation.

Along the same theme, I wanted my color to reflect a new sense of well-being.

After my late-night deliberations, my word for 2023 is REALIGN.

There are areas in my life this year I want to realign, such as my health, my creativity, my writing life, my spiritual life, my attitudes, my reading life, my business life, and my priorities.

My color companion for 2023 is the color Emerald.  This powerful color is lively, radiant, and bold---and it is meant to enhance well-being, balance and harmony. On Tuesday, I painted the letter C (my first name initial) Emerald and will use it as part of my upcoming vision board.

Throughout the month of January, Grow Me A Story is planning some activities with our Sacred Community Garden membership to help them create their own vision boards.

We encourage you to pick a word, maybe a color, and create a vision board for 2023. If you need some help, let us know.
