Setting the Stage For a Good Time

My creative endeavors, particularly my blog posts, tend to be word centered. Today’s blog is picture centered. I spent most of the day at the Sixth Street Theater having a creative rendezvous on and with the stage. Carol and I have less than 2 weeks to get everything ready for our Artist in Residence program with Canyon Elementary. It’s not finished yet, but that just means I get to have more fun again later this week. Hope you enjoy!

Pretty bare stage when I arrived. Step one is to open up the pit for the piano.

There we go. The piano can now go down into the pit.

I’m adding some more flats to the back wall; they’ll get painted black when Zoe gets here. You can also see the tree I dragged up from the basement.

Black flats now painted in back. Puppet stage in the center, and some greenery in the back. Tune in next week to see the finished product.
