Springing Into New Possibilities

Spring has arrived!

Here in north Idaho we have had sunny days and blue skies this week.  How wonderful to feel the sun on my face and enjoy the longer days. We even spent some time out on the patio around dinner time because of the longer days!

Our daughter Zoe is here this week during her spring break from her teaching job. We took a wonderful walk along the river on one of those beautiful evenings.

It is interesting how my creative thinking goes from more inward to more outward.  As I walk around the yard, I start thinking about our gardens and what can we add or change to make our Grow Me a Story Gardens different this summer.  It is like working with a blank slate.

It had been a few months since I was able to meet with my Artist’s Way creativity group.  We got together Monday and it was a wonderful time with great discussions, delicious food, and a birthday celebration with delicious birthday cheesecake.

One of the main things we are working on is our upcoming presentations that the students at Canyon Elementary will be doing the first week of April at the Sixth Street Melodrama in Wallace. Each of the five classes will perform their own program to their friends and family, with plays based on fairy tales and fables.  Paul and I are the Artists in Residence and have been working with these students since January, and we look forward to their presentations.

Zoe has been helping us create props, costumes and sets for the presentations.  She has been a big help!!

Spring is the season of new possibilities, and I look forward to what new creative things are ahead in my life this spring.

I hope spring inspires you to create in new and exciting ways as well!!
